Do you know someone who has made an extraordinary contribution to Catholic education?
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board’s Award for Distinguished Service to Catholic Education recognizes, on an annual basis, individuals and/or a group who have made an extraordinary contribution to the Catholic school system, whether in governance, or to the Church, home, school or community at large.
Any teacher, trustee, administrator, employee, parent, priest, or religious/Catholic ratepayer within the community can be nominated for the award.
“The Board’s annual awards program provides a wonderful opportunity to recognize and honour commitment, faith formation and excellence in Catholic education, proven exemplary service, and to the fostering of a community of faith among faculty, students and parents,” says Chairperson Patrick Daly.
A special liturgy and presentation ceremony for the successful recipients will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 7pm at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King. Please see the attached pdf documents for information on the nomination process, selection criteria, and submission deadline.
